After successfully exceeding the 10 years commitment of the Tony Elumelu Foundation to support African SMEs, the grantor is calling for another application for the 2025 cohort

The successful applicants will receive grant of $5000 and a 12 Weeks Intensive Business and Mentorship training with industry experts

These are step by step to register for TEF $5000 grant in 2025

Step 1: Visit the official website tefconnect.com

Ensure you go through the official website of the application and not through any third party websites. Also note that you are not to pay any money to anyone to apply.

The grant application is totally free

Step 2: Read every information about the TEF application.

This is one of the reasons why many SMEs are not selected. This year, we want many readers of SMEplatforms to be selected for this program

Read the requirements and eligibility. Ofcourse, all African businesses are eligible for the grant

Step 3: Create an account on the official website by clicking apply now

This will require you enter your email address, first name, last name and other necessary information

After that, click create account

Step 4: Verify your email

An email will be sent your your registered email with a link to confirm your identity. Click on the link in your email to verify your email now

After you have successfully verify your email, you will be required to login again with your email and password

Step 5: Choose your language

The application is currently available for all African countries. Therefore, language is very important.

Choose your language from the dialog box and click continue

Step 5: Select profile type

The only available profile type is the Entrepreneur profile type. You know the grant is for entrepreneurs that currently own a business or have a unique idea

Select Entrepreneur and click Proceed

Step 6: Land in your dashboard and start application

After you have successfully completed all the steps, you will land in your dashboard where you will start your proper application for the TEF $5000 grant

Read carefully again the terms and criteria by clicking the Overview. Make sure you understand all the questions and have valid answers to them

After that, click on start application
